One of the hardest but most freeing lessons I’ve learned is this: People do what they want to do. The rest is just excuses.

Today, on International Women’s Day, I want to take a moment to celebrate and honor every woman. I celebrate your grace, strength, resilience, and unwavering confidence. Your presence and contributions—whether in your family, community, workplace, or society—are invaluable.

One of my favorite things to do is scroll through Instagram, watching videos of people who built their businesses from scratch and are now thriving. I’m inspired by bloggers, influencers, entrepreneurs—people who are excelling in their fields. Every time I watch their journeys, I feel a spark of admiration and, honestly, a twinge of regret.

Someone once said, "There’s no such thing as closure in the stages of grief." And honestly, that hit deep.

Did you know that “I don’t know” is a full sentence? And sometimes, it’s all you need to say.

You know what never fails to baffle me? The sheer lack of accountability people have—not just to others, but even to themselves. Like, how do you mess up, act out, or treat someone poorly, and then just… pretend it never happened? No reflection, no remorse, just vibes!

One of my personal aspirations for this year is to be intentional—intentional about everything that concerns me. That means being more thoughtful, more prayerful, and more purposeful in how I approach the things that matter most in my life.

Lately, I’ve noticed a statement circulating widely on social media: “Nobody owes you anything.” At first glance, it might seem liberating—an encouragement to take ownership of your life and expect nothing from others. But when applied to family, this idea feels unsettling to me.

Today, on International Men’s Day, we celebrate the resilience, strength, and sacrifices of men everywhere. Among the many touching stories shared about fathers, brothers, and sons, one common theme stands out: the unwavering commitment of men to show up for their families, often without ever asking for help.

It’s easy for people to have good intentions; almost everyone starts off wanting to make a positive impression and meaning well. But over time, I’ve realized that good intentions mean little if they aren’t backed up by consistent actions. True genuineness shows up in what people do, not just what they say.

I've come to realize that the length of a friendship doesn’t necessarily equal its depth. Sure, I have friends like my best friend of over 20 years, and that’s a bond I cherish deeply. We’ve grown together, shared life’s ups and downs, and I believe she’s in my life for the long run. But I’ve also learned that not every friendship needs to carry that same weight.
