Did you know that “I don’t know” is a full sentence? And sometimes, it’s all you need to say.
Recently, I came across a post on Twitter—a woman had shared a gym selfie, and suddenly, men were calling it a thirst trap. The debate went on for days, with people getting absolutely cooked in the comments, whether they were defending her or just sharing an opinion.
Each time I saw it, I scrolled past. Then, one day, I saw the picture again and internally asked myself, What do you think? And instantly, I thought, I don’t even know. And just like that, I kept scrolling.
That moment made me realize something—I don’t feel the need to weigh in on everything anymore. I’ve learned to say, I don’t know when asked for my opinion, especially on things like people’s relationships, careers, or personal choices. And you know what? It feels good.
So often, we invite stress into our lives by offering unsolicited opinions or passing judgment on things that don’t concern us. But the truth is, it’s okay not to know. It’s okay not to have an opinion on everything. It’s okay to just keep it pushing without overanalyzing every topic, person, or situation.
In 2025, I’m choosing peace—drinking my water and minding my business. Try it. You might just love it.
